This is Jacks first time on skates, he liked it for a bit... but then he wanted to go in. The weather hasn't been the greatest. It sure would be nice to have some decent winter weather that is bareable to do activities in.

Merry Christmas everyone, yes I know I haven't posted anything for along time. Santa brought me a new computer for christmas!! So now I will have a better chance at keeping up with my blog. I must have been a good girl, he brought me a new IMac, it is awesome!

So we had a wonderful Christmas, Troy's grandma spent christmas eve with us and slept over so that she could spend christmas morning with us, it was great to have her here with us. Later on in the afternoon, we went over to Jenn's house for dinner, we had an awesome dinner. Great job jen!

Now we are just relaxing and enjoying not having to go anywhere and just staying home. The weather has finally got better... it has been just bitter cold here for the last 2 weeks.

Best wishes for everyone in the new year, I will try to post some more photos soon!

The girls meeting their barrel racing hero, Lindsy Sears at the Strathmore rodeo. Taylor was telling her how she broke her arm, she felt really bad for Taylor, especially because she broke it after galloping on one of the miniatures that decided he didn't want Taylor on his back.
Lindsey is from Nanton, AB, but she now lives in Texas. She is leading in the Barrel Racing event and will be at the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas... She has an awesome horse named Martha.

Here we are at Spruce Meadows, and the kids found the fountain and turned it into a pool...wasn't sure if this was a good thing, but no one kicked them out!

These are Chelseas banners and ribbons from her Steer and Heifer that she showed this past weekend.
She won this buckle for Showmanship with her steer Benji
She won Grand Champion Yearling Heifer with Sophie. I missed her showing her because I was with the girls and their horses showing in another building. So I wasn't able to get any photos of her. I hear that she looked great!

Here are all the ribbons that Rachel and Taylor brought home. They did very well at 4H on Parade. Rachel won Reserve High Point. She was very excited!

It was a very long weekend, but also alot of fun! We stayed right down at the grounds in the trailer because we had to get up so darn early, 5:00 am!!!! The girls had to feed and then warm up their horses before the classes started at 8:00 am. Glad to have it over, lots and lots of fun!

Jack loved it, thanks mom for helping me out with Jack so that I could help the girls for their big show!

4H Beef Achievement Day for Chelsea

Chelsea came first in her weight class and was in the Championship class, but did not win. The girl standing beside her won Grand Champion Steer. Benji looked awesome, Chelsea did a very good job of showing him. She will take him into 4H on Parade in just over a week. As well as Taylor and Rachel, they will be showing their horses. They also cannot wait for this big show! Should be lots of fun!!!

Jack in his own little world... we were playing just on the other side of the fence where they were dragging calves to be vaccinated, castrated and branded.

They really got into this, Rachel loves this kinda thing.

Here is our little Jack muffin... It is 9:20 am and he just woke up. This is an unusal time for him to get up, but he got up, turned his tv on and plunked in "Monsters Inc.", and sat in his chair with his popcorn (from last night) and watched the end of his movie. Troy and Jack were watching it last night, but Jack fell asleep, so he had to get up to finish his show.

We had a great day, it was Rachel and Taylors first 4H show. Their next big show is in the city at 4H on parade. They are very excited for that show. Chelsea will not be showing her horse, she will be showing her steer and her heifer.

I am sure that these robins are wondering why they are here in Alberta. It is like a January winter storm! Okay, enough already.... we want spring back, like right now!!!!!
Reggie is enjoying this weather, Dumb dog...not really, he just loves jumping and rubbing his belly in the snow. I must have let him out a dozen times throughout the day.

He loves being outside, but he loves being inside laying on our leather couches.

Jack loves to drive the Gator whenever possible, I jumped out to throw some hay to the horses and Jack jumped into the drivers seat!
Here he is waiting patiently for me to get back on and drive him around the yard. It is hard to get him off.

Jack was helping friends of Rachel and Taylors with their sheep at a 4H function. He thought that was pretty cool. I didn't mind him running around here with just the sheep.

Chelsea's heifer Sophie just relaxing in the HORSE TRAILER!!! Ughhh,

The 3 princess in my Horse trailer - this trailer is for HORSES ONLY!!!! This will never happen again. We brought the horse trailer to this junior cattle show only because of the live-in quarters up front. We thought it would be easier because we had Jack and that there would be a place for him to take his nap and have a few snacks. But the heifers got the good end of the deal. They rode in first class to their first show

Rachel showing Britney, she did very well with her. Rachel was in the Championship class for her division for Showmanship. Taylor wasn't present.... she was sleeping in the trailer, so she missed her class. Good thing we brought the horse trailer....

Jack just being Jack. He loved the show too! He would not stand still for anyone. I had to take him up to the stands to run around because he would go up to any animal there and try to pet it. Look at the grin....

I could just eat him up!

This was the next day after easter morning. Jack thought that chocolate was the best thing for breakfast! He really got into the chocolate thing!

Taylor and Rachel after the presentations at Area Public Speaking for 4H. They both did a fantastic job! Rachel moved on to Districts with Chelsea which was held the next week. They both did a great job there but didn't move on to Regionals. We were very proud of all of them!

Merry Christmas!

Finally we are back to posting some pictures. I got a new camera today, so I am able to get my pictures alot easier onto my computer. We had a wonderful day, Troy had the day off so that was extra special. The kids were all spoiled by Santa and us. We were not going to go overboard this year but.... We didn't have much snow, just bits and pieces. It was a great day at home.

Here are Rachel and her horse Teddy and Taylor is on Doc. They had to ride on Christmas day, it is a tradition for them.

This is Dodger, Chelseas new horse for 4H this year. We had to get a new horse for Chelsea because Bubba was injured in September and is going to need at year to recover. Bubba is doing better each day, his legs are healing slowly, but he loves to get out and run around carefully to get some sort of exercise. Chelsea is very excited to ride Dodger this year, they all start riding here in a couple of weeks with their club.

Here is Jack enjoying his 2nd Christmas ! He was so much fun on Christmas morning, of course he loved his presents but most of all he loved to play in the boxes and all of the paper

Hello everyone, yes I know that it has been awhile... I do have some photos to post, they will be on soon, once I get my computer sorted out and all.
The kids are all doing well. They are all enjoying school and have started a new 4H year. We will be having all 3 in horse 4H. Chelsea along with horse will be in the beef club with another steer and also a heifer. She is very excited, and also going to be very busy. Taylor and Rachel will be showing their horses and cannot wait for that!
Jack will be there for support and to run around at all of the functions just being Jack! He is very busy and has all of his sisters wrapped around his little finger! He is one spoiled and very cute little boy.
As for myself and Troy, we are just trying to keep up with the day to day activities.
I will be putting some photos up soon.....

OOOhhhhh SUMMER TIME

We are back! Finally!!! For all of those that are still blogging HELLO!

Here are some photos of Jack playing with a dandylion while he was sitting out by the arena watching the girls ride.

The 3 Amigos on their pride and joy, (left) Taylor is on Doc, Chelsea is on Bubba and Rachel is on Teddy. They are ususally out every single day riding their horses. How lucky are they? I get to sit on the side with Jack and watch, maybe I can get a few minutes of riding time with my horse... just maybe.

Rachel's 1st day with Teddy, her new horse that she will take to 4H! She is very excited to start showing him. He is 5 years old, and behaves like a 10 year old. He is awesome!

Rachel again with "Teddy"! We were very lucky to get this great horse, thank you very much Kathy Gillis! We all love him very much. He is now a part of our extended horse family.

(That would be 10 horses now).

Our new horse trailer that we took up to the Regional Horse show with Chelsea and Bubba, we had a wonderful time with our new trailer. The kids thought that it was awesome being there right with the horses and all of the other 4H kids.

Taylor cannot wait until next year so she can show Doc at Regionals , she met alot of new friends that weekend while we were there.

Little Jack is now 1 !!!!

Spring Fever

Like all of us, we have been pretty busy. Sorry that I have no new pictures to blog. I will get some soon. These are just a few more of our trip to Disney... I know that was in February, but we haven't done anything fun for some time now. Just the daily routine of school, homework, piano and riding lessons. I am so ready for spring and the weather to clear up. No more snow please. We are all anxious to get out and work in the yard and of course the obvious, to get out and ride. We will post some more recent photos soon. I would love to put a video clip on like Caitlin's... I just have to figure out how to do it!

Rachel was the western rider, she loved her outfit, especially the belt, it has crystals all over it! This is one of the outfits that I would like to buy for them. They all need some new boots and a new pair of jeans. They have a belt here at home that is very similar but is black.

This show shirt was from the states and apparently cost over a thousand dollars. It has lots of crystals all over it. She would love to have this shirt to wear to Regionals. I will have to learn to sew...

Taylor loved her english attire! All Taylor wants to do is jump with her horse. We are trying to find her and the others some jumping lessons before they start 4H next season. She cannot wait!

This was the girls first photo shoot! We pulled them out of school for the day, they got their hair and makeup done at a salon in Calgary. They were very excited to have all of this done of course. Then we were off to have the photos taken. The photos were for a magazine here in Calgary, called "The Western Horse Review". It is available all across Western Canada. These photos will be in May's issue. They were all very thrilled to do it. A friend of mine that is the editor for the magazine had asked if they would be interested. Well of course it didn't take them too long to answer if they wanted to do it. It probably helped that the pictures were taken in a stable full of horses. The girls really enjoyed their day. Now they want the outfits that they modelled. Maybe...

We had an awesome time at Newport Beach, the girls just loved playing in the freezing cold ocean. It was very cold and windy this day we were there. Though they still thought that it was pretty cool. We really do need to get them to a really nice warm beach...

Well we had a wonderful holiday in Southern California. The girls didn't want to come home. They loved Disneyland the most! It was very crowded, bumper to bumper strollers. It wasn't as busy later on in the week, so the kids were able to ride on all the rides. We did Disneyland for 3 days, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, and Sea World. We really wanted to get back to San Diego for the Zoo, but the traffic coming home from Sea World was crazy! It took us about 1.5 hours to get to San Diego, coming home was 3 hours. So the girls didn't want to do the drive again. We did manage to get to some beaches for a few hours, it wasn't the warmest weather, but it was enjoyable. We were on the go for the whole week, the kids had a ball. Now Troy and I need to get away for a holiday. Troy was pretty sick the whole week, but he toughed it out and came everywhere with us. Jack was awesome! He loved all the people and all of the colors. We had lots of people tell us how cute he is and Jack would just eat it up and smile at everyone.

Troy and I finally made it to a game together this season! Yeh!

Troy was so proud to take Jack to his 1st Flames game. He was amazingly awesome, he totally watched the whole 1st period! He was great through the 2nd period and then he had a bottle part way through the 3rd, then fell asleep for the last 3 goals for the Flames!

I can't believe that Christmas is just about here!

Here is Rachel at Troys office christmas party playing the air guitar. There was a contest for the best player, and she won. She won a box of chocolates. She was very excited.

Meghan you will be getting this next, if Reggie doesn't get to it first! ( just kidding), I have to put it up on the dresser just to be safe!)

Here are the girls with their horses, Bubba and Doc, it was pretty cold out, but they still wanted to ride. So I drove them out to where their horses were, (way out in the far corner of the pasture) and let them ride back home. But we had to take the photo with the Santa hats first. They can't wait till the holidays so they can ride every day. Lets hope that the weather stays nice, although, it would be great if we had some snow!

Jacks 1st plane ride to Kansas City, Missouri was a long trip. We left Calgary at 7:00am on Friday morning and arrived in KC at 8:30 pm. He was awesome, a great little traveller. He went to his first college football game on Saturday after we spent the day shopping at the Country Club Plaza. It was the Big 12 Championship game at the Kansas City Chiefs Stadium, "Arrowhead Stadium". We watched the Oklahoma Sooners play the Nebraska Corn Huskers. 85,000 people were there braving the cold, but we were in a suite where we watched the game in comfort. It was so much fun! ...It was a very short trip, we were back on a flight early Sunday morning and home at 3:00 pm in the afternoon.

Here are the girls at Troys office Christmas party. They had it at Spruce Meadows, it was decorated so nice. They had a wonderful time dancing from 8:30 pm till we pulled them off the dance floor at 12:30 am. Jack was great too, he fell asleep through all the loud music. I wanted to take our Christmas photo here because of all of the beautiful decorations, but it never happened.

Here is baby Jack at Grandma Barbara's. Grandma took this photo of him yesterday after his doctors appointment. He weighs 14 lbs - 8 oz and is 24 1/2 inches long. He will be 3 months old on November 9th. Man, time sure flies! He sure is lots of fun, I don't get anything done during the day. We just can't get enough of this little man...

Here is our beloved "little"puppy. He is now just starting his 8th month and is in full puppy mode. He loves to check out who is coming and going in the yard by going to our bedroom window. Here he is in his "I had such a busy day mode"...this is how he sleeps, stretched out on his back with all 4 legs relaxed. He was just neutered a week ago, it did not set him back at all. We were told to keep him on a leash for a couple of weeks to let his stitches heal, but that lasted maybe for a couple of days. Anyways, we are enjoying him alot, he loves the girls and can't wait everyday for the girls to come home on the school bus.

Here is our little gang. We went to the trunk or treat. It was flippen cold, we were suppose to go to Craig and Angies, but I wasn't brave enough to venture outside. But they did bring home alot of crap... okay some good stuff. Jack got to stay home and hand out candy. We had about 12 kids. Chelsea went as a cheerleader, Rachel went as a cow in the evening, but at school she went as a Queen, and Taylor was a Genie. Not very creative costumes, but they worked. I can never think of good costumes until I see what everyone else is wearing. Hopefully next year will be better.
Here is Troy and Jack, Jack is pretty content in Troy's arms. Whenever Troy comes home, this is the position that takes place. Then it is time for bed. Jack is sleeping very well through the night. He sleeps for at least 8 to 9 hours every night. It is awesome!

Beginners Luck?

Hey, we are back! Finally, I have been able to get my photos off my camera.
We just got home from Chelsea's horse 4H Banquet... as you can see from the photo, she kinda cleaned up. We were very surprised! We were hoping that she would get maybe 1 trophy, but she won 3 and topped it off with Reserve High Point for the club. She was thrilled!

As you can see, Taylor was a little miffed, she REALLY wants to be in 4H, but you have to be 9 years old by January 1. They miss it by 1 month, so now they have to wait for another year. Taylor and Rachel were very excited for Chelsea but I know that they are very keen to get in and win trophies of their own. Over all it was a wonderful evening, we are very proud of Chelsea. It was a great 1st year experiance for her.

Even Jack was very happy! We can't believe that he is already 2 months old. Time sure flies !! Isn't he a cutie patutie? I could just eat him up! He has been a great little baby! We just can't get enough of him...

Hey all, no new photos right now. My laptop crashed, I took it in to Calgary to see if they could recover my photos... LUCKILY for me they were able to get my hard drive onto an external hard drive and save my photos. I lost all my email addresses, so could you please email me so that I can start all over again. So all of you out there, be sure to make a back up so that you don't lose any of your photos and whatever else you have on your computer.
I have taken pictures here recently of Jack and the girls, and have been anxious to show you but haven't been able to download them off my camera. I should be up and running shortly, when ever I get a new computer.

Fall Ride 2006 - Jacks first picnic

Here we are at our annual Fall ride to our favorite spot at the Ranch. There is a group of trees right in the middle of our south quarter that we like to go and ride to. All the girls, including me were on horses and the boys, Troy and Jack and Reggie were in the gator. We had a wonderful evening, the weather was awesome it was alot of fun. We did however manage to loose Taylor's bridle for Doc. The horses ran off while we were sitting in the grass having our picnic. We looked all over the place, but we never did find it. Taylor was devastated, so I gave Taylor my bridle so that she could ride back home with her sisters, and I rode back in the gator with the boys and let Toby follow the other horses home.
So that was our Fall Ride for 2006, we will try to get out again before the snow flies...Jack had lots of fun riding in the gator he loved it!

Here are the girls on their 1st day back to school. They are growing up way to fast, it is hard to believe that Chelsea is in grade 5 and Rachel and Taylor are in grade 3. Wow!

Baby Jack has arrived, I know that we are late getting this on our blog, but just found the time now. Here are a few photos of Jack. We are so thrilled for the safe arrival of Jack, the girls just can't get enough of him, nor can Troy and I. He has been such a great baby, he is very content and loves to look around at everyone.

9 Months and Counting...

This one is for you Meghan, here I am! I am counting down the days, I have just under 2 weeks to go. I am trying to do whatever I can to bring it on, but nothing is working. The baby will probably want to come when Chelseas Horse show is on...We rented an RV to camp out with the horses. Fun eh? Troy and I are now saying, "What were we thinking?" He said that he will bring the necessary supplies and hopefully we will make it to the hospital in time. We will just have to wait and see.... until then I will be keeping you all posted.

Yippee Yay Yeh! It's Stampede!!!

The girls all had a wonderful day again at the Stampede! They did some rides ate those mini donuts and corn dogs. We met up with Troy after the cattle shows and went out for dinner. Stampede is over now until next year! The girls have all gotten to know the Queen and Princesses. The Princess on the right is April, she is riding the touchdown horse for me until we have the baby! The girls just love her! As you can tell...

What an awesome day for Chelsea, Rachel and Taylor. They were fortunate enough to meet and get an autograph from the Worlds Best Barrel Racer, Charmayne James. Chelsea had brought her "Scamper" (it is a Breyer horse) for Charmayne to autograph. Scamper is her horse that took her to many NFR's and made her the World Champion. They were all thrilled to meet her, what a day they had!

This was the girls first parade! They were very excited to particiapate. Chelsea was riding with her 4H club on Bubba and Rachel and Taylor were driving Gleam just in front of the club. They were having a blast throwing candy to all that were watching. It was a gorgeous day too!

This is my steer called Buttercup and I am showing him in 4-H next year and I Can't wait ! when Buttercup was a baby he was a caramel colour and now he is the colour SILVER. If anyone can find a name for buttercup put it in the comments. Buttercup is a very quiet steer when you tie him up. I think he'll be an Awesome steer for some steer shows like Claresholm, sweet heart classic show, 4-H and lots of other cattle shows. He will grow to be about just as tall as me. He is an EXCELLENT STEER!!!

This is my new horse Doc. He is 9 years old and he is very kind. I ride him all the time and he is always in my heart. He is very tall. He has a star on his head and he is very smart. The Girls Gone Fishing with daddy

We went fishing on a boat at the far side of Lake Minewanka and we all learned how to fish. Daddy and Rachel caught one humungous fish that we ate for dinner the next day. The fisherman who taught us what to do he caught a small fish that we also ate for dinner. After fishing in the lake we went to a really nice restaurant in Banff and then we went to the candy store.

I got two ribbons at 4-H on parade at Stampede park. I had so much fun with Bubba, I can't wait till we go to Regionals at the end of July in Olds. We are competing in 11 events. Should be lots of fun. Mommy and Daddy are renting a motor home and we will be camping with all of the other competitors and their horses. I will be sure to let you all know how we did.
